We were colouring in famous peices of art and I chose this one because it looked really easy to colour.

 

My Mangapapa Ad

We were learning about how to make a Mangapapa Ad. We created the video woth the help of Mr fourie. Mr Fourie recorded the videos and took photos of Mangapapa School for us. Then we decided with a buddy about what videos and photos we would export onto WeVideo. I found it easy to write the plan for my video because I had help from my buddy, Daniel. 

 .

Today we were learning about Media, what is fake and what is real. We were learning about how to spot fake photos and media, like videos.

I found it easy to spot lots of mistakes in the photos that were fake. I also found it easy because my buddy, kelly , was helping me. 

I found it hard to finally pick a photo because there was a wide selection to choose from. I also found it hard because I had to keep trying to rearrange things. I found it hard to try and crop the photo enough so that it wasn't too big

Ruby´s Mangapapa Gala Poster.

We were learning about media and how to get our message across. We were also learning about how to advertise on Piktochart, and so we did a poster about advertising the Mangapapa School Gala. 

I found it easy to find the pictures I wanted because I used a tool that got rid of the picture´s background. I also found it easy to pick the background I wanted because there was a big selection to choose from.

I found it hard to choose the photos I wanred because there were so many to choose from!I also found it hard to post because I took a long time trying to decide on the colours.

I really enjoyed finally picking the colours because I liked them. I also enjoyed exploring Piktochart because everything was new to me.

Next time I need to try and complete the task faster. I also really need to add a bit more detail to the poster and my words.

Today we were learning about what media was, how much media surrounds us and where media was.

I found it easy to think of the pictures I wanted because I knew what media was. I also found it easy to find the pictures I wanted because I was getting help from other people surrounding me. 

I found it hard to pick the photos I wanted. I found it hard because there were too many good pictures to pick from! I also found it hard because I was short on time. 

 I really enjoyed learning with other people and seeing their posts. I also enjoyed this activity because it was fun to pick the pictures after a long time of trying to decide. 

 Next time I need to try and focus a bit more and think of more photos I could use. Also, I need to stop talking to other people beside me because I keep getting distracted!

Well, I hope that this video convinces you that it is real because I have 2 tricks that I will TRY to make you believe! 

What are the VIDEO SKILLS you are learning to use at the moment?   

I am learning to try and make the transitions between each video smoother so that it looks good. Also, I am trying to be a bit more creative with my backgrounds. 

Do you have any TIPS for other learners? 

A tip for other learners is DON´T try any premium backgrounds unless you have upgraded. Because If you do, you will have to muck around trying to find the premium bit of video, and you won´t have as much time.

What are your next steps for your video? 

My next steps for my videos are to add more detail and words to improve it. I also need to change the background to make the video pop out. I also need to learn more about how to import because it is a bit confusing.

What feedback do you want about your video? 

I want feedback on how I did the tricks, because there was a bit of a glitch at the end of the video where it turns black. Please tell me if that does happen.

Pip and Cherry's Caring For Our Devices Teaching Game! (That Ruby made)

Our class was learning about how to create a game on Scratch and the topic was about devices. This is my second time creating a game on Scratch. My topic was about how to care for a device. It is about a cat called Pip teaching a dragon called Cherry all about how to care for the devices.

 It was really easy for a while because all of the code that I needed was in the clolums on the left side of the screen. But then it turned a bit difficult because I couldn't flip Cherry's position. But I worked it out in the end luckily. But I still have to complete the whole game and add questions but I am still proud of the work I have completed so far! 

The main skills for creating this game was trying to place all of the code in the correct positions. I was stuck for a while on trying to fit the code in the right places, but I eventually figured it out. The game became easier to create once I knew the order I wanted the code in. It is not completed yet, so I am going to continue on my game. Also, I haven't chosen a background yet because when I do, my code disappears! Sorry about that.

We were learning about how to make a game on Scratch about commenting. We had to re-code the broken game so it made sense.

I found it easy to drag all of the code together because it was already in the chunks I needed.

I found it hard to erase all of the excess background on my Sprite because I kept on rubbing out the Sprite. 

I really enjoyed creating the game and choosing the background because it was easy to find all the patterns.

Next time I need to complete the game that I was supposed to finish in the time I was given.

Ruby's AMAZING GIF!!!!

We were learning about how to give one of our old posts a makeover and then turn it into a GIF on Tall Tweets. (change our old post to make it better)

 I found it easy to fix up my mistakes in my sentence stems and make my sentences have more detail.

 I found it hard to post my GIF onto my blog because the GIF wasn't working.

 I really enjoyed making my post better by giving the scentences more detail and re-doing the title.

Next time I need to be a bit quicker with the time I have been given.

Our Smart Comments!

We were learning about how to make a book of Smart Comments. I found it easy to pick the colours and background because it was not so complicated. I found it hard to get all of the photos because we couldn't get the angles and light right. I really enjoyed making the book because I got to be creative with our book. Next time I need to make more pages, add more detail and complete the book.

I found it easy to do the moves and get into my place.

Describing Me WITHOUT WORDS!!!!

We were learning about how to make something that describes us and our lives WITHOUT words, except our names and nicknames. We also learnt that what we publish might become someone else's property when we want to keep it for ourselves. 
I found it easy to find all the pictures that I needed because they were easy to access and I already had some pictures in mind for this activity.
 I found it hard to put all of my pictures in a place that I liked because I was rushing and there were too many pictures to choose from.
 I really enjoyed doing this activity because I chose what I wanted.
But maybe next time I need to try to get pictures for my name if I can instead of putting in letters. 

Ruby's Exctinct Animal Animation.

We were learning about how to make an exctinct animal animation out of shapes.

I found it easy to duplicate and crop to make shapes.

I found it hard to group the characters, move them into the right place and getting enough slides.

I really enjoyed getting the scene set up, creating the story and making my characters.

Next time I need to maybe make some more slides and add more detail so it makes sense.

We were learning about how to make an exctinct animal and my exctinct animal is a Mosasaurus.

I found it easy to get the shapes out and to get the texture.

I found it hard to try and arrange the shapes so that it actually looked like a Mosasaur.

I really enjoyed being creative and choosing my exctinct animal.
